St. Chrysostom’s Christmas Homily

St. Chrysostom’s Christmas Homily

This homily was originally preached in 386 AD in Antioch by a young preacher named John. He would later be dubbed Chrysostom, Greek for “Goldenmouth” for his sermonic eloquence. After becoming the Patriarch of Constantinople, Chrysostom was an early advocate in the East for adopting December 25th as the proper day to celebrate Christmas.

Pastor Tim preaches this ancient homily for our Christmas Eve joint service with Bread of Life Anglican Church.

The intro and outro music is from “We Will Feast in the House of Zion” provided by Sandra McCracken and with her permission. Please visit her website at www.sandramccracken.com.
